SignageX + BrightSign
Run SignageX on your BrightSign player using App URL provisioning in BrightAuthor:connected. Configure your player, apply the setup, and validate playback before rolling out to more screens.
The player opens on app.signagex.ai. This page does not download or install software.

Configure. Connect. Play.
From BrightAuthor:connected setup to a verified SignageX screen, follow a repeatable deployment process.
01
In BrightAuthor:connected, create a Setup, select the local time zone and choose App URL publishing. Use the approved direct SignageX application-package URL.
02
Prepare network settings, then apply the setup using a microSD card or provision an associated player through BSN.cloud. Back up the card before writing setup files.
03
Check internet access, confirm the SignageX screen appears, and compare a remote screenshot with the display. Complete a controlled reboot before handover.
Physical testing and declared integration are different. LS425 is the only model with documented physical testing. Other listed models have declared integration support based on the shared player package, rather than individual hardware validation.
Support snapshot: technical onboarding answers reviewed October 22, 2026. Testing covered BrightSignOS 9.x on LS425; no exact OS build or formal public test report is provided. BrightSignOS 9.0+ is a runtime prerequisite, not a guarantee for every firmware release. Confirm your model, firmware and workload before deployment.
On smaller screens, scroll each table horizontally to read all columns.
| Model / family | Evidence / status | Runtime | Qualification |
|---|---|---|---|
| LS425 (LS5 / Series 5) | Physically tested | BrightSignOS 9.x | Physical LS425 used in development and testing, June–July 2026. |
| XC5, XT5, XD5, HD5, HS5 | Declared integrated | BrightSignOS 9.0+ required | Shared BrightSignOS HTML5/Node.js package; individual model tests are not documented. |
| HD226, HD1026, XD236, XD1036 (Series 6) | Declared integrated | BrightSignOS 9.0+ required | Shared package support declared; individual model tests are not documented. |
| XC5 (Windows) | Declared integrated via Windows | Native Windows player | Uses the SignageX Windows player, not the BrightSignOS package; individual testing is not documented. |
| AU5 | Not integrated | Not applicable | Audio-only player; outside the visual signage player’s scope. |
These are declared player capabilities, not a per-model certification. LS425 physical testing covered pairing, campaign/composition and video playback, caching, screenshots, volume, brightness, rotation and telemetry. Hardware limits still apply.
| Capability | Declared support | Scope / limitations |
|---|---|---|
| Fullscreen and multizone playback | Supported | Images, video, web apps, text and compositions; capacity depends on the player. |
| Graphics canvas | 1920 × 1080 | One canvas on the main output; multiple HDMI outputs and 8K graphics are not integrated. |
| Portrait rotation | Supported | Native 90°, 180° and 270° screen transforms controlled from SignageX. |
| Remote screenshots and view | Supported | Native screenshots and live remote view from SignageX. |
| Local media cache | Supported | Media on the SD card and the last published playlist can be restored after reboot for offline playback; online content still needs connectivity. |
| Volume, brightness and telemetry | Supported | SignageX controls and reports player health, storage, network and version information. |
| Application updates | Supported in hosted mode | New releases load on the next reload or reboot. SD-card deployments require file replacement. |
| Two concurrent videos / video overlays | Partial — model-dependent | Declared for dual-decoder models such as XT5, XD5, XD236 and XD1036. LS and HD models decode one video; this is not an individual-model test report. |
| Player-to-player synchronization | Not supported | No frame, asset or layout synchronization across players. |
| HDMI input / Live TV / IPTV | Not supported | No HDMI-in or streaming playback. |
| BrightSignOS updates and remote reboots | Not supported from SignageX | No SignageX-managed OS updates, on-demand reboots or scheduled reboots. |
| B-Deploy / bsn.Control integration | Not integrated | SignageX pairing, health and controls are separate from BrightSign cloud services. BrightSign-side provisioning or diagnostics does not imply a SignageX integration. |
Use the hardware table above to distinguish physically tested LS425 hardware from declared support for other models. Contact us with your exact model, firmware and workload to confirm your configuration before purchasing or deploying at scale.
Have your player, display, HDMI cable, power supply, a blank or backed-up microSD card, internet access and BrightAuthor:connected access ready. Ask our team for the approved SignageX application package and setup guidance.
No. BrightAuthor:connected requires a direct HTTPS URL to an approved autorun.zip package that downloads without an interactive login. The player link above opens the web player; contact us for the correct deployment package.
